Seasons Art Class Hawke's Bay is a unique art class for adults, based in the picturesque Hawke's Bay region of New Zealand. We have been operating for four years, and serve the local market. Our instructors are all local and bring with them a wealth of knowledge and experience.

I established Seasons Art Class Hawke's Bay because I wanted to bring the joy of art to this community. My mission is to make art accessible to all and to inspire creativity and learning. We believe that by creating an environment of learning and exploration, we can make a positive impact in the lives of our students.

My journey started in 2019 - 

Six years ago, I nervously attended my very first art lesson. It was one of those fun "sip and paint" evenings, and to be honest? I was terrified. I didn’t think I had an artistic bone in my body. What if I couldn’t even hold the brush right? What if everyone else in the class was amazing, and I was the odd one out? But despite my nerves, I showed up.

Guess what? By the end of that session, I was hooked. Not only did I enjoy creating my own piece, but I was captivated by the energy in the room. I saw the absolute joy on the faces of other participants as they admired their work—art they never imagined they could create. It was inspiring to watch people surprise themselves, realizing they were capable of so much more than they believed.

That one class changed everything for me. It sparked a creative journey that I’m still on today. I discovered that art is not just about skill; it’s about expression, connection, and joy. And that realization led me to make a bold decision: I bought this business. Yes, I went from being a nervous first-time attendee to running Seasons Art Class! It has been an incredible ride, and I haven’t looked back since.

Whether you are a complete beginner or someone looking to refine your skills, we welcome everyone with open arms. You do not need any prior experience—just an open mind and a willingness to try.

Over the years, I’ve seen hundreds of students take that leap of faith, just like I did. And every time, I’m reminded why I love what I do. Watching our students’ pride and happiness as they complete their pieces is truly the highlight of my day. The culmination of each course, when students exhibit their artwork to friends and family, is nothing short of magical. It’s a celebration of creativity, growth, and courage.
