FAQ

Will I be good enough to sell my art?

Some of our students do go on to sell their work or accept commissions! While that's not the course's focus, you'll develop real skills. We've had students exhibit in local galleries, create gifts for family, and even start small art businesses.

Booking & Registration

How do I sign up? Easy!  Fill in the booking form on our website, call us at 027 207 9999, or email artclass@artinthebay.com. We'll send you available class times and help you get started.

Do classes fill up quickly?

Yes, our most popular times often have waiting lists. We recommend booking as soon as you see a course advertised to secure your preferred day and time.

Can I choose my class time?

We offer multiple options and do our best to accommodate your preference. When you register, we'll show you what's available and you can select what suits you best.

Is there a waiting list?

Sometimes! If your preferred time is full, we'll add you to the waiting list and contact you if a spot opens up. We also run multiple sessions, so we can usually get you into an upcoming course.

When do courses start?

We run courses throughout the year. Check our website or contact us for upcoming start dates.

I notice there's some inconsistency in the "What if I miss a class?" section. Let me create a clearer, more comprehensive answer that aligns with your Terms & Conditions:

What if I miss a class?

We understand that life is unpredictable! Here's how we handle missed classes:

If you know in advance (7+ days notice):  Give us at least a week's heads-up, and we'll do our very best to offer you a make-up session in another class that same week at the same location—if there's space available. This is a goodwill gesture we're happy to provide when we can, though we can't always guarantee it when classes are full.

Short notice or last-minute: If you miss a class with less notice due to sudden illness or emergencies, unfortunately we can't usually arrange a make-up. Your spot remains reserved for you, which is why the full term fee applies even if you miss sessions.

The reality: Your place in class is exclusively yours for the entire 14 weeks. Think of it like a gym membership or theater subscription—we've reserved that easel just for you, so fees remain the same whether you attend every class or miss a few.

Serious illness or injury: If something major happens and you truly cannot attend the entire term, please talk to us. We may be able to transfer your enrollment to a future course—we handle these situations with understanding and flexibility.

Our advice: Try to attend every class if you can! Each session builds on the last, and you'll progress faster with regular attendance. Plus, your classmates will miss you, and you'll miss out on the creative energy and fun.

The good news: Most students rarely miss classes because it becomes their favorite day of the week! But when life happens, we're understanding and supportive.
