Our classes are relaxed, supportive, and practical, helping you develop real skills while enjoying the process and the company of others.

  1. Strong Foundations, Taught Simply


Every piece of art starts with the basics. We focus on teaching these clearly and without pressure, so learning feels achievable rather than intimidating.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Break what you see into simple shapes and forms

  • Understand light, shadow, and depth

  • Use colour with more confidence and purpose

  • Create a sense of space and perspective in your work

These skills are revisited throughout the term, allowing steady improvement and growing confidence.

  1. Time to Learn, Practice, and Enjoy


Each lesson runs for three hours, giving you the space to slow down and properly absorb what you’re learning.

Classes include:

  • Clear demonstrations and guided exercises

  • Individual support and constructive feedback

  • Time to practice without feeling rushed

  • A welcoming atmosphere where everyone works at their own pace

Progress comes naturally when learning is enjoyable and consistent.

  1. All Materials Provided


There’s no need to purchase supplies. All materials are provided, allowing you to focus fully on learning and experimenting.

You’ll build skills in:

  • Drawing for observation and accuracy

  • Painting techniques that develop control and confidence

  • Exploring your own creative style

At the end of the term, students are invited to take part in a friendly exhibition, sharing their work with family and friends.

Class Details


📍 Keirunga Gardens🖌 Monday evenings from 5.30pm🎨 Thursday afternoons from 2.30pm💲$50 per lesson (flexible payment options available) starting in February 2026.
